Officially started up in 2020, CajeFX was the realization of a long-held dream of founder Mike G "Caje" Girardin.
A lifelong love of music and a passion for guitar and bass gear, Mike started modding and building pedals for friends to achieve the sounds they wanted.
A favourite pedal for Mike had always been the Wah. A collector of dozens of different Wah pedals, the subtle differences in sound and tone of everything from the early Jen Crybabys to the more modern aggressive pedals fascinated him.
He worked to get exactly the wah sound he wanted, and that's where the Caje Wah was born, nicknaming that first one the Swamp Cat because of it's meowing wah sound.
Mike decided that it wasn't enough anymore to simply buy old pedals on Kijiji and fix them up with third party boards and fresh paint jobs. With his extensive experience in having worked the last couple of decades in E-Commerce, he sourced high quality parts, designed his own boards, and started hand-building pedals for sale through the CajeFX website.
Mike takes pride in every single pedal he produces, and ensures they live up to his standards. He’s excited to bring his love of gear and tone to the world.
